Story Residential Interior
Restored heirlooms and thoughtful adaptive reuse carry a lifetime of memories into a contemporary new home.
Designed for an elderly couple moving into a community villa, Grand Casa is a home shaped by memory, familiarity, and thoughtful reuse. The brief was to create a space that felt new without losing the comfort and stories of the home they had lived in for decades.
At the heart of the project was adaptive reuse. Cherished vintage furniture was carefully restored and integrated into the interiors, including a traditional Aripatti that was reimagined as a coffee table and heirloom beds that found a place in the new home. Rather than replacing these pieces, the design celebrated their history and craftsmanship.
The result is a warm, contemporary home where treasured family heirlooms blend seamlessly with modern interiors, ensuring the couple could carry a lifetime of memories into the next chapter of their lives.
